Join us on October 26 for City Planning in Cleveland: 50 Years Since Carl Stokes, which will celebrate 100 years of Cleveland planning history with an emphasis on discussing some of the most challenging economic and social times in the city's history and now its resurgence. Come participate in a unique opportunity to hear how planning policies are developed in the crucible of big city politics! The roundtable is free and open to the public, with a special Cleveland welcome to Society for American City and Regional Planning History (SACRPH) attendees!

LEVIN PROFESSOR RONNIE A. DUNN FEATURED IN OFFICE OF RESEARCH VIDEO 
OTHER STAFF, FACULTY, STUDENT AND ALUMNI NEWS 

The Cleveland State University Office of Research announced the first round of projects funded under the new Faculty Research and Development - Internet of Things (FRD-IoT) program, and Levin prof Nick Zingale is leading one of the four funded projects. Nick's project is titled "Smart Cities & Data Bricolage: How the Internet of Things and Crowdsourcing Can Be Leveraged to Improve City Management." A second round of FRD-IoT applications will be accepted from November 1-15. Collaborations across departments and colleges are encouraged, particularly in applications related to healthcare, education, city services and infrastructure, cybersecurity, and manufacturing. If you have an idea for an IoT or data analytics project and need assistance finding a collaborator on campus, contact Ben Ward in the Office of Research.

Levin College Emeritus Professor Dennis Keating's review of Robin Hambleton's book entitled Leading the Inclusive City: Place-based Innovation for a bounded planet was published in the Journal of Urban Affairs, Vol 39 (No. 7): pp. 1017-1018 (2017).
